My love life these past few days has been in “art imitates life” mode. Yes, blogfriends. My life and Bridget Jones’s life are parallel lines. What you do not know is that I was having problems with my Mark Darcy these past few months and last night was the last straw. I threw in the towel. Jher is Mark Darcy no more. I’m sorry, dear blogfriends. Some may disagree for broadcasting my sorrow but writing is how I cope. And besides, as Carrie Bradshaw said: No matter who broke your heart, or how long it takes to heal, you’ll never get through it without your friends. It is THE end of an era.
Last night, as an attempt to move on, I met up with someone and I feel that I have discovered a potential new-found love. I know I will raise some eyebrows or even draw the ire of some for this but I have been with my Mark Darcy for so long that I can not seem to bear the thought of being alone anymore. And I could not help but think of the possibilities with this guy who is nothing less of passionate and sensual….
His name is…
Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! (rolls in laughter) GOTCHA!!!!!!
Oh…my…God! I had so much fun with this. Hahahahahahaha! Jher and I were not able to meet last night because he and his officemates took their guests from Mongolia to a feast at Cabalen and a good time at Club Mwah. (can’t stop laughing! if you could just see me while typing this. hahahahahahaha!)
Anyway, since Jher and I did not have our usual Friday payday night out and celebration of our 28th month together (Yes, it’s our 28th monthsary! So, Bridget and Mark Darcy are still together in case you are still recovering from shock. Hahahahahaha!), I met up with my dear, sweet sister, Gilda. After a lackluster, overpriced dinner at Cafe Havana in Greenbelt 3 (ugh!), we decided to cap the night with hot chocolate at Max Brenner.
Yes, she was my date last night and boy did we have a blast! We got to update with each other’s life and lovelives and we just rocked the house with our laughter. To those who have met me already, they know what i mean with “rocked the house with our laughter”. Hahahahahaha! And for those who would want to meet me, be ready for a brawl and getting dragged out of the establishment by burly bouncers. (rolls in laughter)
Anyway, my sister ordered the Java Dark Chocolate with Orange Peel and I ordered the Equador Dark Chocolate with Orchid Oils served in Max Brenner’s famous Hugmugs.
One thing’s for sure, I was not kidding when I said I have met someone who is nothing less than passionate and sensual. Max Brenner is one hell of a man whom I have placed in my “People Whom I Would Love to Meet” list. He invites us to “watch, smell, taste, and feel his love story” which he successfully does with all of his concoctions. It reminded me of Laura Esquviel’s main character, Tita de la Garza, in “Like Water for Chocolate” where the people who eat the food she cooks are able to feel and absorb the wave of emotions she had while preparing it. The same experience with Max Brenner, dahlins. I felt him in every sip I made of the hot chocolate. (shudders) Okay, before this turns into soft porn (hahahahaha!), I hope you could go there and experience the Max Brenner Chocolate Culture. If you are a passionate, expressive, and sensual person as I am, you will know what I mean. Everything about the Max Brenner experience is purposive: the small intimate tables, the visual of melted chocolate being churned and mixed, the hugmugs…everything is about sensuality and savouring. Ugh! Enough! Just go there! I assure you, I will bring my Mark Darcy there soon…
I love you all! Cheers to passion and being swept away… 🙂
(((TALK ABOUT BEING A TEASE!!!!))) Kakapikon ka.. you got me with this one.. eto tuloy ako, may I go to Bridget’s blog to get the real score about this “sad” bit. Best actress ka talaga! Buti na lang love kita kung hinde…. Hmph! (Kukurutin kita sa s—–!)
hahahahaha! lam mo naman ako, lover of attention! luv u as well, mare! hugs!
Nauto ako! Aaaaagh!
Oh Gawd! Tsokolate lang pala, kala ko kung ano nah! Anyways, everything about the “bald man” spells E.X.P.E.N.S.I.V.E. 🙂
Have a great weekend, bro…
god you got me too! I was thinking of writing “sorry to hear about it” until I read the part of Max Brenner. You are such a tease!

My gadz! I actually fell for it! Hahaha! Kulit mo, sistah-gurl! 😀
Max Brenner is such a great place to relax and indulge in some yummy chocolate. My favourite is the milk chocolate suckao and the strawberry white chocolate float.
Congratulations on your anniversary.
